Maine's Extended Season

While most of the state's water closes September 30th, there are still many ways to enjoy fall in Maine with a fly rod in hand! As far as the Rangeley region goes, Upper Dam is a hot spot for both Brook Trout and Landlocked Salmon. A few local ponds remain open as well, making for some great fishing to be had! Afternoons can often be preferable, as the sun warms up the water throughout the day, triggering an afternoon/evening insect hatch; something you don't want to miss!
